Title Characteristics of the effect of insecticide karate on the metabolism of the nucleic acids and proteins in the subcellular fractions of the liver and intestine

Karate is contact insecticide from the group of pyrethroids, its chemical formulae C23H19ClF3NO3, molecular mass 449.9. (1-RS)-cis-2.2-dimethyl-3-(3.3.3-triphtoro-2chloropropanyl)-cyclopropan of the carbonic acid-1 (RS)-α-cyano-3-phenoxybenzolic ether. Purpose of this work was to study effect of insecticide Karate on the contents of DNA and RNA and total protein in the subcellular elements of the liver and intestinal mucosa in white rats.
Experiments were performed on the outbred white rats of mass 120-250 g in 2 stages. Analysis of the results obtained showed that in acute poisoning with pesticide Karate the acute decrease in RNA and DNA occurred in the subcellular elements of liver and intestine mucosa during the first 7 days of experiment with subsequent normalization of the levels during the following 7 and 15 days. In chronic poisoning the number of RNA in the studied hepatic biomedium decreased in the homogenate to 66.47 and 55%, in the nucleic fractions  to 64-62.5%, and in the supernatant fluid - to 52.6-48%; and in the small intestine - from 55.6% to 64.6%, respectively, according to the time of experiment. The DNA level reduced from 20% to 55%. In acute and chronic poisoning with pesticides of group pyrethroids, concentration of nucleic acids sharply reduced in the elements of liver and intestinal mucosa, that indicated about possibility of the inhibition of the DNA and RNA synthesis, which effect on the synthesis of protein in the cells.
